Our Director, Sharon Crown is a qualified midwife who has specialised in Obstetric & Gyneacological ultrasound for over 15 years. She is not only highly qualified and experienced in all aspects of obstetrics and gynaecology ultrasound within both the NHS and private sectors, but she also successfully undertook a Project Manager role within the Perinatal Institute in Birmingham aimed at increasing the sonographer workforce in the West Midlands. She was also the Regional Obstetric Ultrasound Screening Co-ordinator (ROSCO) for the West Midlands, established to support the NHS Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme (NHS FASP) in the national education, training and supervision of Sonographers in the ultrasound component of Combined screening strategy for T21 (Down’s syndrome).

About Us

All the sonographers at Premier Scans are highly experienced medical professionals are qualified to undertake all obstetric scans from 6-42 weeks gestation. Our Sonographers are regulated by the NMC/HPC and have carried out hundreds/thousands of ultrasound scans in both NHS and private sectors. They are not medical doctors however they have passed all Post Graduate exams in the field of ultrasound and are accredited by the Fetal Medicine Foundation.

At Premier Scans we believe that ensuring the wellbeing of your baby is of the utmost importance. This is why you will always be provided with a full written report detailing all the scan findings and the wellbeing of your baby. Measurements will be documented on graphs appropriate for gestational age and should we need to, we will arrange referral to your hospital/GP for you.
It is therefore fair to say that your first class experience with us is of the utmost importance to the whole team at Premier Scans.

Our Clinic

​All our ultrasound scans are carried out in private rooms with seating for you and your relatives. For pregnancy scans, the dedicated monitors allow you and your family the perfect view of your baby’s first images, whilst our ultrasound specialists talk you through every step. Depending upon your selected pregnancy package, you will have the option of photographs of your ultrasound scan; a short film of your baby scan on a DVD and your pictures transferred onto a CD, allowing you to take home these cherished memories of your baby’s first images.

Our extended and flexible scan appointment system means you can be seen at a time and date that suits you, including evenings and weekends.
